Assignments for Mar 27-31

1. Be good and respect my substitute. Any violations of this rule will be met with STRONG consequences. I'm talking end of the world apocalyptic type stuff. So be good.

2. I'm not assigning current events for this week. I'm making it a free-for-all. Anyone who has an article to present can do so to earn credit. Not EXTRA credit, but credit that still boosts your grade. So if you feel the need to earn some points, by all means get one and THEN post ON THIS SITE ( in the comments section) what your article was all about. That way I can leave a comment and acknowledge your accomplishment.

3. Make sure you are working on your internet assignments. I haven't given you a topic for quite some time, but you ARE supposed to be working on updating your political blogs. For some of you it has probably been so long that your blog may have gone under; pick new ones. Conservative, Neutral, and Liberal. Lots of things going on in the world right now- I'm sure the blog wires are going crazy.

4. You guys have 9 weeks of school left. In that time we'll discuss the freedom of expression, the rights of the accused, the "liberal" media versus the "conservative" media, Capital punishment, and why KU stinks at basketball (that will be the final exam.) Make sure you finish your high school career on a high note rather than coasting away. Your senior project will take a lot of your concentration no doubt. It is not the ONLY thing you have remaining, however, and your last quarter should be one of learning, not goofing off. There. The sermon is over.

5. Just kidding about the final exam part. That will be a comprehensive essay exam. You will hate it if you have to take it.

Well, I did my current event in class before I checked your blog. To recap, I will simply say that Las Vegas has purchased new ambulances that can carry people that weigh over 500 pounds.
